OnePlus confirmed its foldable phone earlier this year. Likely to be called OnePlus Fold V, the smartphone is likely to be released somewhere in the Q3 of this year. Before its official photos, alleged renders of the device have appeared online.

Shared by Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks, the redners have been created using a prototype model. In the images, one can see a prominent, circular camera module on the back. One can see three camera sensors housed in the module along with the iconic Hasselblad branding. The rear camera flash resides in the left corner, placed outside the camera island.

Another feature spotted in the images is the popular alert slider and a fingerprint scanner mounted on the power button.

Bezels around the phone’s screen are slim. The front of OnePlus Fold V features a selfie camera placed at the centre. When folded, the inner selfie camera awaits at the left-side corner of the phone.

The images also suggest the availability of a triple speaker system on OnePlus Fold V. The foldable phone will feature the book style hinge mechanism offered by Oppo Find N2 and Samsung Galaxy Z foldable. The phone has metallic construction as OnePlus has placed antenna bands in the side frame.

Furthermore, the renders depict a faux leather finish on the handset, OnePlus is expected to use premium materials such as metal or glass.

OnePlus Fold V expected features

OnePlus Fold V is said to come powered by a Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor. The display could be a 2K 120Hz AMOLED (LTPO) display with a higher refresh rate.

On the camera front, the OnePlus foldable phone is tipped to come with a 50MP (IMX 890) main camera, coupled with an ultra-wide lens and a periscope lens. At the front, it may feature a 32MP (OV32C) selfie camera.

OnePlus V Fold could be equipped with a robust Li-Po 4,800mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging.

According to sources, the OnePlus Fold V is rumored to make its debut in August. The foldable phone is expected to launch the OnePlus V Fold in India, China, and the United States of America.
