Cool Cats to Release Three New Games Inspired by NFT Collection – Crypto News

Cool Cats Group, the Web3 firm behind NFT collection cool cats, is joining forces with three gaming publishers: nWay, iCandy—entities within the Animoca Brands ecosystem—and Sync Studios. These collaborations aim to create fresh games featuring the Cool Cats brand and characters. The triad of games is currently under production and set to launch between late 2023 and early 2024.

The announcement marks another step in Cool Cats’ ongoing venture into the mainstream. Notably, the enterprise recently disclosed a strategic investment from Web3 titan Animoca Brands, along with a strategic alliance with leading metaverse infrastructure and content firm, Futureverse.

“Gaming is an immersive content distribution platform that builds [an] Emotional connection with the characters and story through engaging gameplay. Our new games are critical to our ongoing mission of developing Cool Cats into a globally known character brand and a robust storytelling and content company,” said Stephen TeglasCEO of Cool Cats, in a press release.

“With nWay, iCandy, and Sync Studios, we are partnering with three innovative leaders to provide immersive gaming entertainment to engage our current fans and introduce our brand to the broader global audience.”

The Cool Cats venture with nWay begins with a competitive multiplayer arcade game. A San Francisco-based arm of Animoca Brands, nWay boasts a proven track record in fast-paced multiplayer games, having developed and published titles like Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and ChronoBlade,

The second game, produced in association with iCandy Interactive Limited, will be an in-browser, endless runner game in 2D, scheduled for a September 2023 release. With over 370 million gamers globally, iCandy, backed by Animoca Brands, ranks among the leading developers in Australia and Southeast Asia.

In a joint endeavor with Sync Studios, Cool Cats will also launch a match3 game on mobile platforms. A match3 game is similar to Bejeweled or Candy Crush, where players must match up the items and achieve three in a row.

Sync Studios, renowned for successful collaborations with Voodoo and Lion Studios and for developing IP games for giants like Hasbro, Paramount Studios, and Warner Brothers, is joined by PlayEmber, a Web3 mobile gaming publisher backed by Shima Capital and Big Brain Holdings.

What’s next

Cool Cats Group is broadening its scope beyond gaming with a series of partnerships and activations designed to widen its audience. Notably, they will feature a float in the upcoming Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this November and host a booth at the International Comic Con this month.

The names, promotional clips, and launch dates for Cool Cats’ trio of new games will be revealed soon.
