Bitcoin, the world’s leading cryptocurrency, has seen its price skyrocket to nearly US$64,000 on Wednesday, before retracing to the US$60,000 range.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency traded for as high as US$63,636, according to CoinGecko data.

Bitcoin hasn’t seen this price range since November 2021, when it scaled down from its all-time high of over US$69,000.

Ethereum, the world’s second-largest crypto by market capitalization, is also up more than 40% in the last month.

Along with other major cryptocurrencies, Ether followed Bitcoin’s bull run on Wednesday.

Its price was unable to reach US$3,500, as it started to trace down after hitting US$3,492.

Ether traded at US$3,317 at the time of writing.

The total cryptocurrency market cap stood at over US$2.35 trillion.
