Game of Thrones is the hottest TV series in the world. Warner Bros. announced the release of a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from HBO’s Game of Thrones franchise, due out sometime this winter. To do this, it partnered with the Nifty’s platform,

The NFT collection could hit the market before 2023 and will be called “Game of Thrones: Build Your Realm.” The NFTs will allow holders to create realm avatars (related to the series) and have access to extra items in the collection to complete their avatars.

Jeff Marsilio, CEO and co-founder of Nifty’s, said the HBO series changed pop culture forever:

“Every once in a while, a movie or TV series comes along that pushes the boundaries of its genre so much that it forever changes the creative landscape. Game of Thrones is that series for this generation. Nifty’s is thrilled to be working with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and imagination through a new kind of digital collectible that will allow fans of the franchise to connect like never before.”

Game of Thrones NFTs may help financial woes

Warner Bros. has not revealed details about the collection’s pricing. According to Tech Crunchthe launch comes at a good time for the company, which reported losses of 3.4 billion dollars in the third quarter of the year, which adds to its debts of up to $53b.

NFT holders are eligible to get virtual weapons for their avatars, accrue teammates, and improve their locations and characters, which will allow the holder to build their own kingdom.

For its part, Nifty’s pointed out that Daz 3D, known for launching and designing NFT projects for Murakami’s CloneX and RTFKT, DC’s Bat Cowl program and Friendship Box’sNFTfor Coca Cola, will collaborate in the design, development and production of the Game of Thrones NFTs.
