Microsoft Build 2023: Key highlights – Crypto News

Microsoft Build 2023 kicked off on Tuesday. The tech giant has made several announcements on how it is expanding use of AI across its apps and services, including in Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and more.

At the Microsoft Build 2023 keynote session, CEO Satya Nadela announced AI Copilot stack, Copilot for Windows 11, Bing search experience for ChatGPT.

Key announcements

AI Copilot for Windows 11

Microsoft is bringing its AI Copilot to Windows 11. This is the same personal assistant that the company already integrates across Edge, its Office apps and GitHub. The Copilot will be within the taskbar.

Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports plug-ins

For Microsoft 365, the AI ​​assistant will now support three main types of plug-ins, including Teams messages extensions, Power Platform connectors, and tools that use technology from ChatGPT.

Users can also choose from dozens of third-party plug-ins, such as those from Atlassian and Adobe.

Edge with a 365 Copilot integration

The company is bringing 365 Copilot to Edge. The tool, which will be within the browser’s sidebar, can use the content on the site the user is viewing to help on projects in Microsoft 365 apps, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and others.

AI upgrade for Windows Terminal

Now, Windows Terminal will have an AI-powered chatbot through an integration with GitHub Copilot. Developers can now use the chatbot directly within Terminal to do various actions, get code recommendations, and explain errors.

Bing – now ChatGPT’s default search engine

OpenAI would make Bing the default search engine in its ChatGPT chatbot. From 23 May, ChatGPT Plus users will see citations surfaced by Bing appended to the chatbot’s responses.
