Snapchat has introduced a new feature called My AI Snaps, joining the trend of incorporating generative AI into apps and software. This feature is exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers, allowing them to engage with My AI during chats. Users can send Snaps of their activities to My AI and receive a distinctive generative Snap in return, ensuring an interactive conversation. It is important to note that free users of Snapchat will not have access to this feature.

The photo sharing platform has stated that users are utilizing My AI as a creative tool to expand their knowledge and seek advice on various topics such as movies, sports, video games, and even outfit suggestions for prom.

Users can Snap a picture of their pizza, outfit of the day (OOTD), or their beloved pet, and My AI will respond with a Snap that corresponds to their activity. Snapchat provided an example where a user shares a Snap of their grocery items with Snap My AI, and in response, My AI may recommend a recipe based on the items shown in the picture.

Snapchat has emphasized that any messages shared with My AI, including Snaps, will be stored and utilized to enhance the overall product experience.

The company acknowledges that although My AI is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful, or misleading information, there is still a possibility of mistakes occurring. As a result, users are advised not to rely on My AI for advice and are encouraged to provide feedback if they encounter any issues. In India, Snapchat+ is available at a monthly subscription cost of 49.

Moroever, the app is offering a range of exclusive features for its subscribers. One of these features allows users to pin a friend as their top BFF. (Best Friend Forever)ensuring that this particular friend is prominently displayed at the top of their chat list.

Another feature enables users to track who has rewatched their stories, providing valuable insights into audience engagement. Lastly, subscribers to Snapchat+ enjoy an ad-free experience, where they can use the app without encountering any advertisements.
