Threads vs Twitter: Elon Musk calls Mark Zuckerberg a ‘cuck’ as Threads nears 100mn users – Crypto News

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are in a constant war of words these days. The friction has increased significantly since the launch of the Threads app last week. The duo have been taking jibes at each other online. But things are now starting to go personal as Musk called Zuckerberg a ‘cuck’ in a latest post.

Responding to a screengrab of the threads post by fast-food chain Wendy’s, Elon Musk wrote “Zuck is a cuck.” The burger joint in its post can be seen joining that Zuckerberg “should go to space just to really make him mad lol.” This clearly refers to Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The Meta CEO replied to Wendy’s post with a laughing emoji.

Threads was announced on July 6. Less than a week since its launch and the app is set to reach 100 million downloads, according to reports.

After the launch of Threads, Musk has filed a lawsuit against Meta platforms. He even fired a letter to Zuckerberg through his Twitter lawyer Alex Spiro accusing Zuckerberg’s company of engaging in “systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.”

“Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information. Twitter reserves all rights, including, but not limited to, the right to seek both civil remedies and injunctive relief without further notice to prevent any further retention, disclosure, or use of its intellectual property by Meta,” read the contents of the letter as reported by semaphore.com.

Responding to the Twitter post on the lawsuit last week, Elon Musk said “Competition is fine, cheating is not”. On Saturday, he called out to Threads as “just Instagram minus pics. It “makes no sense, given that thirsty pics are the main reason people use that app. How many times have you read comments on Insta pics & wished there were more? Personally, never.” he added.

In late June, Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a “cage match” to which Zuckerberg responded, saying “send me the location.”
