To compare, the average monthly Bitcoin issuance is approximately 27.0k BTC. This data essentially means that for every newly minted Bitcoin, the ‘shrimp’ cohort is taking 1.25 off the market.

In addition, when we scrutinize the distribution of Bitcoin holdings across different cohorts, the ‘crab’ group piques our interest. Despite being relatively small holders, Crabs collectively own nearly 11% of the Bitcoin supply. This percentage surpasses the holdings of Bitcoin miners and is rapidly nearing the quantity held in exchanges.

<colgroup>
<col width="126" />
<col width="174" /></colgroup>

<th data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Cohort"}">Cohort

<th data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"% Supply"}">%Supply

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Shrimp"}">Shrimp

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.068}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">6.80%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Crab"}">crab

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.108}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">10.80%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Fish"}">Fish

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.169}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">16.90%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Shark"}">Shark

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.2}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">20.00%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Whale"}">whale

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.342}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">34.20%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Exhange"}">exchange

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.116}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">11.60%

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Miner"}">miner

<td data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":0.094}" data-sheets-numberformat="{"1":3,"2":"0.00%","3":1}">9.40%

Aggregate Supply: (Source: Glassnode)

Lastly, the supply of Bitcoin held in exchanges has been experiencing a steady decline.
