Meanwhile, large investors, known as whales, once again began accumulating Ripple tokens.  Recent data indicated that this accumulation was increasing in tandem with the upward trend in price.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Read <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/ripple-price-prediction\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Ripple&#8217;s [XRP] Price Prediction<\/a> 2023-24<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h3><b>Ripple whales step-up accumulation<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per a recent <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/santimentfeed\/status\/1683054955350065152?t=ccGKR0PPfLKQjt0w8P46Hg&#038;s=19\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Santiment<\/a> post, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/sec-appeal-wont-impact-ripple-in-the-near-term-lawyer-says\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Ripple<\/a> was experiencing a notable surge in whale accumulation.  The post and accompanying chart revealed that there were currently 199 whale wallets holding over 100 million coins, valued at a minimum of $74 million. This surge in value coincides with ongoing discussions and speculations about a potential SEC appeal against Ripple, which has been gaining momentum in the financial community.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Ripple to rise despite liquidations<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A glance at the key Ripple metrics on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/currencies\/XRP\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">CoinGlass<\/a> indicated a noteworthy liquidation level in the past 24 hours, with long positions taking the lead.  Based on the liquidation chart, long positions have experienced liquidations amounting to more than $600,000 during this period.  Despite these liquidations, the funding rate remained positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of this writing, the weighted funding rate suggested that traders maintained optimism regarding XRP&#8217;s potential for further price growth.  This indicated that despite recent liquidations, traders still had a prevailing sentiment that <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/ripple-lawsuit-now-that-xrp-is-not-a-security-whats-next\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">XRP&#8217;s<\/a> value would rise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Is the XRP correction underway?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the daily time frame chart, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/ripple-holds-strong-with-21-share-of-crypto-market-trades-report-finds\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Ripple<\/a> has been going through a consistent downtrend in its price since 20 July, with only a brief respite observed on 23 July.  It has suffered a decline of over 6% and is trading at approximately $0.69. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The overall cryptocurrency market was also experiencing a slump in prices as of this writing. This indicated a weakening bull trend, coinciding with the recent downtrend in price.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8211; Realistic or not, here&#8217;s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">XRP market cap in BTC&#8217;s<\/a> terms<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the 30-day Market Value to Realized Value ratio (MVRV) data on Santiment showed that XRP holders have been holding their coins at a profit.  However, there had been a sharp decrease, indicating the correction the asset was currently undergoing.
