Mester, president of the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/macroeconomics\/central-banks\/fed\">Federal Reserve Bank<\/a> of Cleveland said on Friday in an interview with Bloomberg, that they need to see a moderation in the labor market and wage growth. She mentioned they are not seeing evidence of a wage-price spiral but added, \u201cinflation is still too high\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a base case of soft landing\u201d, explained Mester. She warned that under-tightening would be worse than overtightening.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fxs_headline_medium\">Market reaction<\/h2>\n<p>The US Dollar is pulling back in the market after rising in response to Fed Chair Powell&#8217;s speech. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/currencies\/us-dollar-index\">The US Dollar Index<\/a> (DXY) is currently trading marginally higher around 104.05, although it is far from the monthly high it reached earlier on Friday at 104.44.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Share: Loretta J.
