The firm claimed Armstrong had inflicted \u201cemotional, physical and financial damage\u201d on Hit employees and others in the space. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Yesterday, BJ Investment Holdings, the parent company of Hit network, took decisive legal action in removing Ben Armstrong from the company, and specifically the Bitboy Crypto brand.  <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/e0kYLKUZ4r\">https:\/\/t.co\/e0kYLKUZ4r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitboy Crypto (@Bitboy_Crypto) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Bitboy_Crypto\/status\/1696184571279159401?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 28, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The announcement did not elaborate on any incidents that may have led to the end of the business relationship with Armstrong. The crypto YouTuber had been involved in a class-action lawsuit in which investors claimed Armstrong and other influencers allegedly promoted FTX without revealing compensation from the exchange. <\/p>\n<p>Amid the lawsuit, court filings suggested Armstrong issued threats against lawyers representing the plaintiffs and openly <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bitboy-crypto-intentionally-misses-court-appearance-to-address-alleged-harassment\" data-amp=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bitboy-crypto-intentionally-misses-court-appearance-to-address-alleged-harassment\/amp\">mocked a federal judge\u2019s authority<\/a> by not appearing in court as ordered. The case was stayed on June 16.<\/p>\n<p>Using his platform with more than 1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube subscribers, Armstrong insulted high-profile figures, including European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and United States Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler.
