Following approval from Judge Amy Jackson, attorney Andrew Rhys Davies can now appear in court for Binance.US.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Approval From US Judge<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a previous filing, attorney Andrew Rhys Davies had initially filed to represent Binance pro hac vice in the lawsuit. However, the federal judge had asked Davies to file a notice of appearance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the latest filing details on August 30, Davies filed a notice of appearance for BAM Management US Holdings and BAM Trading Services \u2013 the company behind Binance.US.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Granting the motion would mean Davies can now represent Binance in court pro hac vice, as the attorney is not licensed to practice in the jurisdiction. In its latest move, the SEC filed a motion for <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/sec-going-after-binance\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">leave to file documents<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> under seal in the ongoing case.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/sec-going-after-binance\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to law experts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, this could imply that the filing was made to protect details of a criminal investigation into Binance. Additionally, it could have also been filed to protect the safety or identity of a witness or company involved in the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Binance also previously filed a <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/binance-files-for-protective-order-against-sec\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">protective order motion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> against the SEC.
