Steve Jang\u2019s Kindred Ventures led the round, with support from investor Elad Gil, Scalar Capital, Alchemy Ventures, Next Web Capital and others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DeForm, based in San Francisco, has been building out a \u201ccrypto-native\u201d client management software (CRM) so businesses and creators can make more meaningful insights about their customers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The $4.6 million raised will be allocated to further developing DeForm\u2019s CRM.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockworks.co\/tag\/nfts\">Non-fungible tokens<\/a> also got some attention this week, with startup FirstMate raising $3.75 million to debut what it calls a \u201ccreator-owned NFT storefront builder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dragonfly Capital was the main backer, with Coinbase Ventures and Next View Ventures also counting themselves as investors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>FirstMate\u2019s new product is launching in partnership with Manifold.xyz, and it allows NFT creators to enforce their own royalty payout structure and customize their own site, according to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/usefirstmatexyz\/status\/1696185513969926400\">thread<\/a> on X, formerly Twitter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"liquid-staking-on-lightning\">Liquid staking on Lightning?<\/h2>\n<p>European crypto investment firm Greenfield Capital led Stroom Network\u2019s $3.5 million seed round, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greenfield_cap\/status\/1697181686105088343\">announcing<\/a> the fresh funding early Thursday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Stroom is aiming to roll out a liquid staking solution on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockworks.co\/tag\/lightning-network\">Bitcoin\u2019s Lightning network<\/a> through its ERC-20 token, InBTC.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On its website, Stroom describes InBTC as a \u201cliquid derivative\u201d of bitcoin staked on Lightning that can be redeemed 1:1 for bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Liquid staking has become popular on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockworks.co\/tag\/ethereum\">Ethereum<\/a>, and now Stroom wants to bring a similar framework to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockworks.co\/tag\/bitcoin\">Bitcoin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"other-notable-fundraises\">Other notable fundraises<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Web3 talent network BuidlerDAO <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BuidlerDAO\/status\/1695995936017912054\">raised<\/a> $2 million from Sequoia Capital and SevenX Ventures.<\/li>\n<li>Aerodrome, a new DeFi protocol on Coinbase\u2019s layer-2 Base, has gotten over $175 million in deposits since around August 30, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/protocol\/aerodrome\">according<\/a> to DeFiLlama.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<p><strong>Get the day\u2019s top crypto news and insights delivered to your email every evening.\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blockworks.co\/newsletter?source=end\">Subscribe to Blockworks\u2019 free newsletter<\/a>\u00a0now.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Want alpha sent directly to your inbox?
