{"id":150517,"date":"2023-09-06T06:19:29","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T00:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/?p=150517"},"modified":"2023-09-06T06:19:29","modified_gmt":"2023-09-06T00:49:29","slug":"crypto-market-dramatically-underestimates-bullishness-of-spot-bitcoin-etfs-crypto-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/crypto-market-dramatically-underestimates-bullishness-of-spot-bitcoin-etfs-crypto-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Crypto market \u2018dramatically underestimates\u2019 bullishness of spot Bitcoin ETFs &#8211; Crypto News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-v-2649fa34=\"\">\n<p>The potential of a spot Bitcoin (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\">BTC<\/a>) exchange-traded fund (ETF) approval to drive prices up is dramatically underestimated by the crypto market, claim analysts from crypto research firm K33 \u2014 formerly Arcane Research.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a Sept. 5 market <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/k33.com\/research\/articles\/a-buyers-market\">report<\/a>, K33 senior analyst Vetle Lunde and vice president Anders Helseth said the last three months had greatly improved the chances of a spot Bitcoin ETF approval despite the sentiment not being reflected in the price of Bitcoin or other mainstay crypto assets. <\/p>\n<p>The analysts explained while Bitcoin <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bitcoin-price-grayscale-gains-wiped-with-sec-spot-etf-delays\">had all but given up its gains<\/a> in the wake of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/grayscale-wins-sec-lawsuit\">Grayscale\u2019s legal victory over <\/a>the Securities and Exchange Commission \u2014 an approval would \u201cattract enormous inflows\u201d and significantly increase buying pressure for Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Bitcoin returned its gains in the wake of Grayscale&#8217;s victory. Source: K33 Research<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>However, the downside of a potential spot ETF rejection would be \u201cnegligible\u201d and Bitcoin prices would simply maintain business as usual, they wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Lunde and Helseth added that given the increased likelihood of spot ETF approvals \u2014 with several Bloomberg analysts now <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/spot-bitcoin-etf-chance-raised-after-grayscale-victory-bloomberg\">predicting a 75% chance of approval<\/a> within the year \u2014 the market&#8217;s outlook on ETFs is fundamentally incorrect. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI firmly believe the market is wrong.
