Blockchain analytics platform Santiment says that two Ethereum (ETH<\/a>) rivals are surpassing Cardano (ADA<\/a>) in one major area.<\/p>\n

According to a new Santiment blog post<\/a>, Polkadot (DOT<\/a>) and its canary test network Kusama (KSM<\/a>) are now seeing more development activity on the development hosting platform GitHub than Cardano during the past 30 days.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is many of the usual suspects that currently make up this top 10 ranking board, with Polkadot\u2019s and Kusama\u2019s shared Github repository overtaking Cardano\u2019s rate of development once again, after ADA was outpacing them earlier this summer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Both Polkadot and Kusama registered 570.1 Github commits in the past 30 days, leading all other crypto assets. Cardano came in third with 548.77 Github commits in the past 30 days.<\/p>\n

Santiment says that development activity shows \u201cwhich projects are putting in the most effort to improve and innovate their existing products.\u201d<\/p>\n

DOT is trading for $4.02 at time of writing. The 13th-ranked crypto asset by market cap is up 0.6% in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

KSM, the 173rd-ranked crypto asset by market cap, is trading at $18.07 at time of writing and is up 0.1% in the past day.<\/p>\n

ADA is trading at $0.24 at time of writing. The eighth-ranked crypto asset by market cap is down 0.3% in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The firm also says that other projects experiencing notable development activity include blockchain oracle Chainlink (LINK<\/a>) and peer-to-peer decentralized storage network Filecoin (FIL<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking at more recent times, it does appear that Chainlink\u2019s team has been raising its development rates quite notably. Filecoin\u2019s team is also starting to pick up some steam since July.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

FIL is trading at $3.17 at time of writing. The 32nd-ranked crypto asset by market cap is up 1.2% in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n
