{"id":163659,"date":"2023-09-27T12:52:13","date_gmt":"2023-09-27T07:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/?p=163659"},"modified":"2023-09-27T12:52:13","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T07:22:13","slug":"former-facebook-executive-and-diem-co-creator-identifies-new-ai-opportunities-within-bitcoin-ecosystem-crypto-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/former-facebook-executive-and-diem-co-creator-identifies-new-ai-opportunities-within-bitcoin-ecosystem-crypto-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Facebook Executive and Diem Co-Creator Identifies New AI Opportunities Within Bitcoin Ecosystem &#8211; Crypto News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The co-creator of Facebook\u2019s cryptocurrency project Diem thinks the future of real-time payments will have utility in multiple sectors across the world.<\/p>\n<p>David Marcus is the co-founder and CEO of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lightspark.com\/\">Lightspark<\/a>, a startup that aims to build Bitcoin (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dailyhodl.com\/currencies\/bitcoin\/\">BTC<\/a>)-based enterprise payment solutions for the Lightning Network.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus says in a new <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YRnLG2WgFU4\">interview<\/a> with Anthony Pompliano that he\u2019s thinking a lot about artificial intelligence (AI) agents and how they pay one another.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhen you think about where we\u2019re going, I believe you\u2019re going to have a bunch of AI agents that are going to perform certain tasks on our behalf. For instance, you could have a travel agent that\u2019s basically an AI system that enables you to book complex travel, and it\u2019ll talk to other AI agents from the various providers out there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If Lightspark is successful, Marcus thinks there will potentially be useful applications in terms of enabling payments to rights owners to train data.<\/p>\n<p>He also thinks accounting, reporting and taxes will have to evolve in the future to adapt to payments that can be processed instantly on a global, 24\/7 basis.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Lightspark CEO says real-time payments could open up global capital.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPeople can have access to cheaper capital globally. And there will be companies built on top of that that enable people to actually get their money around [and] lock their money to get it repaid in real-time.
