A widely followed crypto analyst is keeping an eye on Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) while breaking down Chainlink\u2019s (LINK<\/a>) latest movements.<\/p>\n

Pseudonymous crypto trade Rekt Capital\u00a0tells<\/a>\u00a0his 354,700 followers on the social media platform X that BTC\u2019s current price point is acting as a \u201cpoint of reflection\u201d for the largest crypto asset by market cap.<\/p>\n

BTC is worth $26,899 at time of writing, down 0.5% in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

In the latest edition of the trader\u2019s Altcoin Newsletter, Rekt Capital\u00a0shares<\/a> what he calls a \u201cshort story,\u201d told mostly in charts, about Chainlink\u2019s recent price movements, resulting in a +44% since mid-August.<\/p>\n

\u201cLINK then followed the red path\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThen rebounded strongly from the Range Low, before embarking on a path to revisit the Range High resistance\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

According to the trader, though LINK still hasn\u2019t broken out of its macro downtrend, its price is currently positioned well to close the week above the trendline.<\/p>\n

The trader says such a close would likely be retested, which could result in upward movement for LINK.<\/p>\n

\u201cA successful retest of the Downtrend would probably set price up for another revisit of the Macro Range High.<\/em><\/p>\n

But it would only be upon Weekly Close and a successful retest of the Range High resistance as support that LINK would be able to confirm a breakout from its Macro Range.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
