Crypto investor and venture capitalist Chris Burniske says that Solana (SOL<\/a>) is poised to start outrunning Ethereum (ETH<\/a>) in a new trend formation.<\/p>\n Sharing a chart posted by on-chain analyst Will Clemente, Burniske shows<\/a> Solana versus Ethereum (SOL\/ETH) putting in a series of higher lows and higher highs in a potential shift in long-term momentum.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019ve been paying attention, you see the obvious; if you\u2019ve become tribally attached to your exclusive team, you\u2019ll continue with willful ignorance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Burniske, who has long been optimistic on Solana, says<\/a> he has been bullish on SOL for the \u201centire bottom range\u201d of its price action over the past year or so.<\/p>\n The former crypto analyst for Cathie Wood\u2019s ARK Invest also says that many developers understandably prefer to stay within the Ethereum ecosystem since that\u2019s what they\u2019re already comfortable with.<\/p>\n However, Burniske, who\u2019s the co-founder of venture capital firm Placeholder, says<\/a> that investors should take a different stance on SOL.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you\u2019re a builder I understand the desire to stick with Ethereum and continue to believe Ethereum\u2019s future is bright (Placeholder continues investing in it). If you\u2019re an investor, not adding some SOL exposure to an existing ETH holding requires lots of mental gymnastics.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Burniske goes on to say<\/a> that just like there was a time when Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) bulls believed the entire crypto ecosystem would operate on their preferred network, Ethereum enthusiasts may also be caught off guard when Solana takes a large portion of value capture.<\/p>\n \u201cSaw the same thing play out with Bitcoiners, that I\u2019m seeing with some Ethereans now.<\/em><\/p>\n The rallying cry is the same:<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018Everything will be built on Bitcoin!\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018Everything will be built on Ethereum!\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018BTC will capture all value!\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018ETH will capture all value!\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n Flat circle.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n At time of writing, Solana is trading for $24, up over 13% in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n Don’t Miss a Beat \u2013 Subscribe<\/a> to get email alerts delivered directly to your inbox <\/span><\/em>
