One of the co-creators of popular meme asset Dogecoin (DOGE<\/a>) is calling out the DOGE community for its lack of productivity.<\/p>\n In a new thread on the social media platform X, Billy Markus, also known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, says<\/a> that the DOGE community doesn\u2019t \u201cdo anything productive at all\u201d but also adds that developing for the memecoin\u2019s blockchain causes \u201cpain and stress.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhat does the [DOGE] community actually want anyway? I never really see it do anything productive at all, ever \u2013 I personally don\u2019t see why anyone would ever develop on the product or spend any time on it for this community unless they enjoy pain and stress.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Markus, who is not affiliated with Dogecoin any longer, goes on to note<\/a> the community\u2019s toxicity towards the Dogecoin Foundation, saying that the nonprofit\u2019s announcements are usually met with hostility and negativity.<\/p>\n \u201cAny time the foundation has said anything, it\u2019s been met with relentless attacks, so they stopped, which is logical when there\u2019s no point in trying to communicate with hostile people who don\u2019t listen to anything but their own circlejerk.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n Furthermore, according to Markus, developing Dogecoin could be difficult as it lacks<\/a> the presale and premining of coins \u2013 features other digital assets tend to have \u2013 and because the community doesn\u2019t donate much.<\/p>\n \u201cQuestion: how would you like Dogecoin development to be funded ideally, since there was no premine or presale like other coins?
