The iPhone 15 series was launched by the Cupertino-based tech giant at the Wonderlust event on September 12. However, Apple is facing tough local competition from Huawei especially after the launch of Mate 60 Pro.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"paywall\" id=\"paywall_11697511319472\">\n<p>   According to Counterpoint data quoted by Bloomberg, the sales of iPhone 15 are down by 4.5% compared to the iPhone 14 during the same period. The research blamed the loss of demand for iPhone 15 due to China&#8217;s economy still trying to bounce back from the Covid slump. The market tracker also noted that the iPhone 15 likely posted a double-digit percentage rise over 2022 in the US during the first nine days of sale.<\/p>\n<p>   Counterpoint research director Jeff Fieldhack told Bloomberg, \u201cThe US is hot right now with back-to-back stellar weekends for the new iPhone\u2026 It\u2019s a positive sign from the biggest iPhone market in the world. So definitely takes some of the sting off the China numbers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>   Meanwhile, Jefferies analyst Edison Lee predicts a double-digit percentage decline for the iPhone 15 sales compared to its predecessor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>   Many analysts have argued that Huawei&#8217;s rise could erode Apple&#8217;s dominance in the premium smartphone market.
