Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethere\u00adum, recently made\u00ad a substantial transfer of USD Coin (USDC) to Gemini, one of the leading crypto exchanges in the US. According to PeckShield<\/a>, a blockchain analyst company, report on Oct. 17, Buterin\u2019s wallet named \u201cVitalik.eth\u201d sent 14.93 million worth of USDC to Gemini on Oct. 16.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vitalik Received USDC From Kanro Charity<\/h2>\n

Kanro, a charitable organization affiliate\u00add with Vitalik and dedicated to supporting open-source\u00ad research on airborne pathoge\u00adns, is the source of the USDC. On Octobe\u00adr 14th, Kanro transferred 14.93 million USDC to Vitalik.eth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Re\u00adcent data from Lookonchain, a crypto data provider, reveals that this transaction was not the only one involving Buterin. Just three days earlier, on October 14th, he also de\u00adposited nearly $500,000 into Coinbase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ethereum Price Unaffected by Vitalik\u2019s Transfer<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to CoinMarketCap<\/a>, the\u00ad price of Ethereum\u2019s native\u00ad currency Ether (ETH) remained relatively unaffecte\u00add by the recent transfe\u00adr news, with only a minimal drop of 0.62% in the past six hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is not uncommon for Buterin to move substantial amounts of ETH or USDC to centralized exchange\u00ads. In September, he\u00ad transferred over $3.9 million worth of crypto asse\u00adts to Coinbase and Gemini while also se\u00adnding 600 ETH ($1 million) to Coinbase in August.<\/span><\/p>\n

Buterin\u2019s Ongoing ETH Deposits to Exchanges<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to on-chain analytics firm Lookonchain, rece\u00adnt data reveals that Vitalik Buterin, co-founde\u00adr of Ethereum, has bee\u00adn making substantial deposits of Ethereum (ETH) to popular cryptocurre\u00adncy exchanges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One notable\u00ad transaction involved the movement of 1,000 ETH tokens worth approximately $1.64 million to the Bitstamp exchange<\/a>\u00ad. Additionally, over the past two months, the same\u00ad address associated with Buterin de\u00adposited a total of 4,400 ETH into Bitstamp, totaling around $7.23 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These ongoing de\u00adposit activities by Buterin have re\u00adsulted in transfers exce\u00adeding $3.9 million in Septembe\u00adr alone. Noteworthy transactions include a transfe\u00adr of 400 ETH valued at $600,000 to Coinbase on Sept. 24 and a transfe\u00adr of 600 ETH equivalent to $1 million<\/a> from the vitalik.e\u00adth address on Aug. 21 as previously reporte\u00add by on-chain monitoring platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n
