Well, it\u2019s very trivial to say, \u2018We\u2019re going put that on your money now.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\nAnd there are so many people in the ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) movement that say, \u2018Hey, you\u2019ve already filled up your car once this week, so we\u2019re not going to let you buy gasoline until next week.\u2019 They\u2019re writing memos about how the single best way of preventing climate change is incentivizing climate-friendly behavior through the money system. <\/em><\/p>\nSo the minute they have a CBDC, transaction discrimination happens, and then it\u2019s going to be discriminated on two different axes: what you do with it and who you are. And if you are part of a political minority that\u2019s being persecuted, basically you get shut out of society. And if you\u2019re doing things that the government structure with no oversight has decided, you don\u2019t get to do that anymore. <\/em><\/p>\nYou\u2019re basically you\u2019re shut out of your money. It\u2019s the dream of every despot, and it\u2019s in real time for about a seventh of the entire world. And it\u2019s going to come to Europe and America.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nHoskinson says that legitimate crypto projects are the antithesis of CBDCs.<\/p>\n
