According to the venture capitalist, \u201cAI is getting smarter\u201d as evidenced by followers seemingly reporting Draper tried to get them to send cryptocurrency. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Apparently AI is getting smarter, and people are using my voice to try to get you to send money (crypto). Please know that I will never ask the public X followers for money. If anyone asks, it is not me. Following the collapse of FTX in November 2022, scammers <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-deepfake-attempts-to-scam-investors-impacted-by-ftx\">created a deepfake video<\/a> of former CEO <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/top-people-in-crypto-and-blockchain-2023\/sam-bankman-fried-and-caroline-ellison\">Sam Bankman-Fried<\/a> offering compensation to affected users. A similar situation <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/yikes-elon-musk-warns-users-against-latest-deepfake-crypto-scam\">occurred with a deepfake<\/a> of Tesla CEO Elon Musk in May 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Draper, who once predicted that the price of Bitcoin (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\">BTC<\/a>) would hit $250,000 by 2023, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/crypto-stories-tim-draper-tells-how-his-family-moved-into-bitcoin\">was an early investor<\/a> in the cryptocurrency. Despite <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/magazine\/winners-are-odd-tim-drapers-rules-for-investing-success\/\">losing roughly 40,000 BTC<\/a> when Mt.
