It has additional applications pending for MTLs in other U.S. states, the firm said.<\/p>\n<p>The license acquisitions enable Bastion to participate in activities related to the selling or issuance of payment instruments, stored value, prepaid access, as well as the receipt of money and digital currency to facilitate transactions with others in the states. The licenses can be <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org\/EntityDetails.aspx\/COMPANY\/2523302\">located<\/a> on the official website of the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Bastion\u2019s money transmitter license. Source: NMLS<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The licenses come just one month after <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/former-andreessen-horowitz-execs-launch-bastion-after-seed-funding-round\" data-amp=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/former-andreessen-horowitz-execs-launch-bastion-after-seed-funding-round\/amp\">Bastion\u2019s launch in mid-September 2023<\/a>. Bastion\u2019s launch was announced in conjunction with a $25 million seed funding round, which was led by a16z crypto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition of MTLs in New Hampshire and Arkansas is a consequential step in realizing our long-term vision,\u201d Bastion co-founder Eddequiouaq said. He added that the firm views the milestone as a \u201ctestament to the strength and speed\u201d of Bastion and looks forward to continuing the momentum to expand its areas of operation.<\/p>\n<p>In receiving the MTLs, Bastion joins the growing list of crypto-related firms that obtained the license, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/crypto-payment-firm-alchemy-pay-arkansas-license\" data-amp=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph-com.cdn.ampproject.org\/c\/s\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/crypto-payment-firm-alchemy-pay-arkansas-license\/amp\">including Alchemy Pay<\/a>, Coinbase, Jack Dorsey\u2019s Block, MoonPay, bitFlyer exchange and others.
