Finboot has launched a new digital ecosystem designed for Cepsa Chemicals, part of CEPSA group \u2013 an energy group committed to sustainable mobility, energy and chemicals with a history of investing in innovative technology to drive its business forward.<\/p>\n
In early 2023, Cepsa Qu\u00edmica announced NextLab, the world\u2019s first sustainable linear alkylbenzene (LAB), used to manufacture biodegradable detergents for domestic use. Cepsa is the largest LAB producer in the world, and a pioneer in the production of biodegradable products and the development of safer and more environmentally friendly technologies. NextLab is the LAB produced with sustainable raw materials, such as palm and coconut oil; using the mass balance approach, with a reduced Greenhouse Gas (GHG) footprint.<\/p>\n
CEPSA\u2019s continuing partnership with Finboot, with its digital traceability solution, MARCO Track & Trace, is said to be aligned with CEPSA\u2019s commitment to innovate and support sustainable mobility and energy.<\/p>\n
MARCO Track & Trace has enabled Cepsa to implement an auditable and transparent ecosystem for the traceability of vegetable oil from source to its use in biodegradable surfactant production. Finboot\u2019s digital traceability solution enables Cepsa to easily gather, verify and share enriched supply chain data. Cepsa can create and share fully auditable Digital Product Passports with evidence-backed claims on the sustainability of NextLab.<\/p>\n
In this first phase of the project, Cepsa will use MARCO Track & Trace in two of its product lines, NextLab-R, which is produced from Puente Mayorga in Spain and from Cama\u00e7ari in Brazil; and LAB Low Carbon (integrating low CO2 emissions), which is produced from B\u00e9cancour plant in Canada.<\/p>\n
