The market expected an 8.8 readout.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Current Situation Index dropped to -77.1 from\u00a0-79.8 prior, missing estimates of -75.5.<\/p>\n<p>During the same period, the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/economic-calendar\/country\/c9822cb1-6cee-45f4-a9a2-89d136990308\"><strong>Eurozone<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0ZEW Economic Sentiment Index jumped to 23.0, compared to a 13.8 figure registered in November.
