This approach contrasts with blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum, which process transactions sequentially.<\/p>\n<p>Sei launched its mainnet beta in August to much fanfare, only to see interest fizzle out after early adopters <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefiant.io\/sei-network-launches-token-and-mainnet-beta\">decried their miniscule airdrops<\/a>, with many users only receiving enough SEI to compensate for transaction costs in using the network.<\/p>\n<p>However, the project has regained momentum since unveiling its <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.sei.io\/sei-v2-the-first-parallelized-evm\/\">V2 iteration<\/a> in November, which will bring Ethereum compatibility to Sei. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis allows Sei to get the best of Solana and Ethereum &#8211; a hyper optimized execution layer that benefits from the tooling and mindshare around the EVM,\u201d the project said at the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blockchains that allow multiple transactions to be executed simultaneously are seeing renewed investor interest.
