Services-producing industries edged up 0.1%, while goods-producing industries were essentially unchanged, with the 20 industrial sectors evenly split between increases and decreases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reading came in below the market expectations of a 0.2% expansion. In September, the economy also stalled (revised from a 0.1% expansion).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The advance estimate indicates that real <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/economic-calendar\/united-states\">GDP<\/a> edged up 0.1% in November 2023. The following GDP report will be released on January 31.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fxs_headline_medium\">Market reaction<\/h2>\n<p>The USD\/CAD remained around 1.3270 after the release of the Canadian GDP and US economic data that included the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/news\/us-core-pce-inflation-preview-federal-reserve-preferred-price-gauge-looks-set-for-another-decline-in-november-202312220700\">Core Personal Consumption Expenditure<\/a> (Core PCE) and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/news\/us-durable-goods-orders-rise-54-in-november-vs-22-expected-202312221335\">Durable Goods Orders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Share: Canadian economy stalled in October for the third consecutive month.
