SkyBridge Capital CEO Anthony Scaramucci is predicting the crypto king Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) will reach new all-time highs by this time next year.<\/p>\n

In a new interview with CNBC, Scaramucci\u00a0says<\/a>\u00a0Bitcoin will eventually pass its all-time high of $69,000.<\/p>\n

When asked how the possibility of a BTC exchange-traded fund (ETF) could affect Bitcoin\u2019s future price, Scaramucci responds:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been embarrassed by my predictions in the past. I would\u2019ve thought [BTC] would\u2019ve gotten to a hundred thousand by the end of 2022. If you recall, in November of 2021, we got the Bitcoin futures ETF buy-in, and so I thought that was gonna come. Skybridge filed for a cash Bitcoin ETF. It was rejected alongside Fidelity and many other players. We\u2019ve elected not to do that now because of the competition, so a lot of this stuff got dragged out because of the regulation.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re asking the question \u2018will Bitcoin get through its all-time high?\u2019, I believe it will. I don\u2019t know when. There could be some selling pressure, sort of that \u2018buy on the rumor, sell on the news\u2019 in the beginning part of the quarter, but if you\u2019re asking about year-end, and I\u2019m hoping you\u2019ll invite me back \u2013 I think we\u2019ll be through the all-time high. But I\u2019ve been embarrassed by my predictions before, so I\u2019m a little hesitant. A little gun-shy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

BTC is worth $41,871 at time of writing, down 4% in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Last month, Scaramucci\u00a0predicted<\/a>\u00a0Bitcoin and Ethereum (ETH<\/a>) would rally as the Federal Reserve appeared poised to halt rate hikes, easing pressure on risk assets. He said he expects an uptrend fueled by the potential U.S. Securities and Exchange (SEC) approval of an ETF and Bitcoin\u2019s upcoming halving in April.<\/p>\n
