Ripple\u2019s executive chairman, Chris Larsen, confirmed reports from blockchain analyst that XRP wallets had been raided.<\/p>\n

Malicious actors gained access to several of Ripple Co-Founder Chris Larsen\u2019s personal XRP accounts, draining 213M tokens worth $112.5M.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, there was unauthorized access to a few of my personal XRP accounts (not Ripple),\u201d wrote<\/a> Larsen early Wednesday. \u201cWe were quickly able to catch the problem and notify exchanges to freeze the affected addresses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement is alreayd involved, Larsen said.<\/p>\n

Reports of the funds drained surfaced from blockchain analyst ZachXBT\u2019s Twitter account. <\/p>\n

According t<\/a>o ZachXBT, the funds stolen were laundered through multiple exchanges, including Binance, Kraken, OKX, and MEXC.<\/p>\n
