The two most valuable cryptocurrencies briefly surged to new local highs on Feb. 20 before reversing sharply lower.<\/p>\n

Ether traded as high as $2,996, a 22-month high, and is currently changing hands for $2,925.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin surged to a local high of $52,900 earlier this morning but has since reversed sharply and trades 1% lower on the day. Major altcoins like LINK, SOL and AVAX dropped more than 5%.<\/p>\n
