A widely followed crypto analyst is keeping an eye on Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) and altcoins as the crypto markets rage.<\/p>\n Crypto trader Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe\u00a0tells<\/a>\u00a0his 697,000 followers on the social media platform X that the altcoin markets are about to explode.<\/p>\n The analyst uses the blockchain data provider Covalent (CQT<\/a>) as an example.<\/p>\n \u201cThe rotation towards altcoins is likely going to happen.<\/em><\/p>\n CQT is breaking out as we\u2019re reaching a new yearly high.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Has standard 20-40% dips -> opportunities, but my expectations are that this is likely to continue to $0.75 in the coming period.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n CQT is worth $0.373 at time of writing, up 3% in the last week.<\/p>\n Next, the analyst\u00a0predicts<\/a>\u00a0that the rising altcoin markets could push Ethereum (ETH<\/a>) up to $5,000.<\/p>\n \u201cAltcoin market capitalization is slowly moving upwards.<\/em><\/p>\n The upside could be captured on Bitcoin, meaning a rotation towards altcoins.<\/em><\/p>\n Therefore, Ethereum to $4,500-5,000 is likely, while altcoins will accelerate with 2-4x returns.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n ETH is trading for $3,440 at time of writing.<\/p>\n Finally, looking at BTC, the analyst\u00a0predicts<\/a>\u00a0that if a Bitcoin pullback does occur, it could fall as low as $46,000.<\/p>\n \u201cBitcoin manages to reach a $670 million net inflow.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Mostly, this is coming through Blackrock\u2019s ETF (exchange-traded fund) and interest.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The price is $62,600, with insanely strong movements before the halving.<\/em><\/p>\n What to look for?<\/em><\/p>\n If a correction happens, I aim at $46,000 or $53,000 for longs.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n BTC is worth $62,175 at time of writing.<\/p>\n Don’t Miss a Beat \u2013 Subscribe<\/a> to get email alerts delivered directly to your inbox <\/span><\/em>   Generated Image: Midjourney<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A widely followed crypto analyst is keeping an eye on Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins as the crypto markets rage.
