Biggest news<\/b><\/h2>\n

Cheaters learn a tough lesson:<\/b> Call of Duty players who downloaded certain \u201ccheat\u201d software instead installed malware\u2014and some reportedly <\/span>had their Bitcoin wallets drained<\/span><\/a> as a result, according to cybersecurity firm VX Underground. Nearly 5 million gaming accounts may have been impacted by the malware, according to the firm, though the number who actually had crypto swiped from their wallets is unknown. Cheating doesn\u2019t pay, at least in this case.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notcoin to end mining:<\/b> Notcoin<\/span><\/a>, the viral Telegram-based clicker game, is winding down its <\/span>\u201cmining phase\u201d on April 1<\/span><\/a> ahead of the upcoming token airdrop on <\/span>The Open Network<\/span><\/a> (TON). More than 34 million Telegram users have played the game so far, and the next phase is about to begin. What that looks like isn\u2019t entirely clear, but the game\u2019s team is now asking players to <\/span>consider donating a share<\/span><\/a> of their earnings to an ecosystem fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nyan Heroes demo: <\/b>Solana-based team shooter Nyan Heroes launched its pre-alpha demo on the Epic Games Store last week, and it\u2019ll be available until April 9 on PC. The cats-in-mechs game is running a <\/span>play-to-airdrop campaign around the demo<\/span><\/a>, rewarding players with \u201cMEOW\u201d points for completing in-game missions. Those points will grant players an allocation of the upcoming NYAN token on <\/span>Solana<\/span><\/a>. It\u2019s a <\/span>double-points weekend<\/span><\/a> through Monday, too, so you\u2019ll earn more for playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parallel raises $35M:<\/b> Parallel Studios, the team behind <\/span>Ethereum<\/span><\/a> NFT card game Parallel (<\/span>GG\u2019s 2023 game of the year<\/span><\/a>), announced that it has <\/span>raised $35 million<\/span><\/a> in fresh funding from a variety of backers, including VanEck and Solana Ventures. The studio told <\/span>Decrypt<\/span><\/i>\u2019s GG that the funding will help fuel expansion of the game into new storefronts and eventually onto mobile, plus it will support development on the upcoming <\/span>Solana-based AI game, Colony<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
