The weaker US Dollar (USD) provides some support to the pair. The\u00a0Fed\u2019s\u00a0Bostic, Barr, Waller, Jefferson, and Mester\u00a0are set\u00a0to speak on Monday.\u00a0The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will publish the minutes of its monetary policy meeting on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fed officials remain very cautious about cutting interest rates prematurely.\u00a0Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin noted that inflation is easing but highlighted that it will\u00a0&#8220;take more time&#8221;\u00a0to reach the\u00a0Fed\u2019s\u00a02% target. Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester said that the\u00a0Fed&#8217;s\u00a0current monetary policy stance is appropriate as it continues to assess incoming <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/economic-calendar\" data-fxs-autoanchor=\"\">economic data<\/a>. Additionally, Fed Governor Michelle Bowman said the policy is restrictive but is willing to hike rates if inflation stalls or reverses.<\/p>\n<p>The FOMC minutes will be due on Wednesday. In the latest meeting, the Fed held rates steady\u00a0and\u00a0the tone of the policy statement was little changed. The US central bank emphasized a lack of further progress toward its inflation objective. Investors have priced in 10% odds of a cut in June and nearly 80% chance in September. The higher-for-longer US rate narrative might boost the Greenback\u00a0in the near term\u00a0and cap the upside of the AUD\/USD pair.<\/p>\n<p>On the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/currencies\/audusd\" data-fxs-autoanchor=\"\">Aussie<\/a> front,\u00a0Australia\u2019s\u00a0jobless rate climbed more than expected last month, easing\u00a0the chance of another RBA rate hike.\u00a0The recent jobs report showed the economy added 38.5K jobs in April, while the Unemployment Rate rose to 4.1%.
