Another celebrity <\/span>memecoin<\/span><\/a> saga has hit the market \u2014 Jason Derulo\u2019s crypto token dubbed JASON. <\/span>The American singer continued to promote his JASON coin despite scam calls earlier in the week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After launching on the 23rd of June, JASON pumped but dumped shortly amidst a flurry of selling that the American singer blamed on his co-creator and serial celebrity crypto scammer, Sahil Ahora.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, the singer disregarded the scam calls and termed them \u201cmistakes\u201d that weren\u2019t to be repeated. Part of his statement <\/span>read<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI made uneducated mistakes in the past that will never happen again. To all the loyal $JASON holders I want you to know that I am going to work on this every day until we beat all celebrity coins and break records.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The renowned Web3 scam investigator ZachXBT <\/span>flagged<\/span><\/a> the singer for several \u201cscam\u201d crypto projects in the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another point of contention was the singer\u2019s doublespeak. The singer had reportedly vowed not to sell JASON to prop it up. Notably, Derulo <\/span>claimed<\/span><\/a> he wanted JASON to hit a $1 billion market cap.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, the blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps <\/span>noted<\/span><\/a> that one of the wallets linked to JASON was selling after receiving them from Sahil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2018This address received tokens directly from Sahil\u2019s and has already sold 161 SOL ($20k). Why is he promising never to sell on one wallet but selling with another?\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Additionally, the firm doubted whether Sahil Ahora tricked the singer and <\/span>noted<\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDerulo\u2019s actions don\u2019t really match someone who got fooled.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Bubblemaps claimed that Derulo seemed to \u201cknow\u201d what he was doing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Based on ZachXBT and Bubblemaps\u2019 claims, one can\u2019t outrightly mark JASON or the singer as a scam. <\/span>However, utmost due diligence is key for anyone who wishes to jump onto JASON\u2019s massive rally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As of press time, per <\/span>Dex Screener<\/span><\/a>, JASON was up 6,000%, with a market cap of $15 million.
