This reading followed the 0.3% increase (revised from 0.1%) recorded in May and came in line with the market expectation.\u00a0Retail Sales ex Autos grew 0.4% in the same period.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Total sales for the April 2024 through June 2024 period were up 2.5% from the same period a year ago,&#8221; the Census Bureau further noted in its press release. &#8220;The April 2024 to May 2024 percent change was revised from up 0.1% to up 0.3%.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fxs_headline_medium\">Market reaction<\/h2>\n<p>The US Dollar Index edged slightly higher with the immediate reaction and was last seen rising 0.1% on the day at 104.35.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Retail Sales in the US held steady above $700 billion in June.
