NBA legend and Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen is receiving thousands of social media responses after posting a crypto-related query.<\/p>\n
The retired six-time NBA champion posted a simple question on the social media platform X over the weekend: Ethereum (ETH<\/a>) or Solana (SOL<\/a>)?<\/p>\n However, the Hall of Famer\u2019s question<\/a> didn\u2019t receive a simple answer, yielding 5,600 replies, including a mishmash of different responses from prominent members of the crypto community. Some didn\u2019t even chime in with an opinion on one of the top two smart contract platforms.<\/p>\n For example, Jack Mallers, the chief executive and founder of the Bitcoin wallet and payments application Strike, suggested<\/a> Pippen look to BTC<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n The crypto investor Chris Burniske, a partner at the venture capital firm Placeholder, asked <\/a>\u201cwhy not both?\u201d<\/p>\n And Dogecoin (DOGE<\/a>) co-creator Billy Markus, also known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, didn\u2019t waste any time shilling for his own project, responding<\/a> \u201cdog coin obv.\u201d<\/p>\n Pippen tried to ignite another debate on Monday, asking<\/a> \u201cmeme coins or utility coins?\u201d The former Chicago Bulls small forward also teased<\/a> \u201csomething big\u201d coming to the blockchain but noted it was still a secret.<\/p>\n Pippen has long been a vocal supporter of crypto, even launching his own non-fungible token (NFT) collection in late 2022.
