{"id":351208,"date":"2024-07-24T20:03:56","date_gmt":"2024-07-24T14:33:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/?p=351208"},"modified":"2024-07-24T20:03:56","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T14:33:56","slug":"us-sp-global-manufacturing-pmi-slumps-to-49-5-services-pmi-improves-to-56-in-july-crypto-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/us-sp-global-manufacturing-pmi-slumps-to-49-5-services-pmi-improves-to-56-in-july-crypto-news\/","title":{"rendered":"US S&amp;P Global Manufacturing PMI slumps to 49.5, Services PMI improves to 56 in July &#8211; Crypto News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"fxs_article_content\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S&amp;P Global Composite PMI in the US edged higher in July&#8217;s flash estimate.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>US Dollar Index stays under bearish pressure, declines toward 104.00.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The business activity in the US private sector continued to expand at a healthy pace in July, with the preliminary S&amp;P Global Composite PMI improving to 55 from 54.8 in June.<\/p>\n<p>The S&amp;P Global <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/economic-calendar\" data-fxs-autoanchor=\"\">Manufacturing PMI<\/a> declined to 49.5 from 51.6 in the same period, while the Services PMI rose to 56 from 55.3.<\/p>\n<p>Assessing the PMI surveys&#8217; findings, &#8220;the flash PMI data signal a \u2018Goldilocks\u2019 scenario at the start of the third quarter, with the economy growing at a robust pace while inflation moderates,&#8221; said\u00a0Chris Williamson, Chief Business Economist at S&amp;P Global Market Intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In terms of inflation, the July survey saw input costs rise at an increased rate, linked to rising raw material, shipping and labour costs,&#8221; Williamson added. &#8220;These higher costs could feed through to higher selling prices if sustained, or cause a squeeze on margins.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fxs_headline_medium\">Market reaction<\/h2>\n<p>The US Dollar came under bearish pressure with the immediate reaction. At the time of press, the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fxstreet.com\/currencies\/us-dollar-index\" data-fxs-autoanchor=\"\">US Dollar Index<\/a> was down 0.3% on the day at 104.15.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S&amp;P Global Composite PMI in the US edged higher in July&#8217;s flash estimate.
