Nvidia reported record fourth-quarter revenue of $39.3 billion, up 12% from the previous quarter and 78% from a year ago, as demand for artificial intelligence chips continued to drive growth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company\u2019s earnings<\/a> topped expectations, with diluted earnings per share of $0.89, beating analyst estimates of $0.84, according to <\/span>data<\/span><\/a> from TipRanks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The result marked a 14% increase from the prior quarter and an 82% rise from a year earlier. Nvidia has now beaten earnings forecasts in every quarter over the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shares of the chipmaker closed up 3.67% at $131.28 and rose another 2.32% in after-hours trading to $134.33, as investors reacted positively to the company\u2019s latest results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Revenue from Nvidia\u2019s data center unit, its largest business segment, reached $35.6 billion, climbing 16% from the previous quarter and nearly doubling from a year ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company cited strong demand for its Blackwell AI chips, which have become a key component in the infrastructure powering artificial intelligence models.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNvidia is scaling AI computing at an unprecedented pace,\u201d CEO Jensen Huang said in a statement. \u201cDemand for Blackwell is extraordinary as businesses seek greater AI reasoning and processing capabilities.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the full fiscal year, revenue more than doubled to $130.5 billion. Net income, meanwhile, surged 145% to $72.9 billion, reflecting the strength of Nvidia\u2019s position in the AI market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Nvidia expects revenue of $43 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, in line with Wall Street expectations but lower than some of the more optimistic forecasts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company\u2019s gross margin is projected at 70.6% on a GAAP basis and 71.0% on a non-GAAP basis.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, Nvidia expects to keep about 71 cents in profit from every dollar of sales after covering the basic costs of making its products.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The way this is calculated differs slightly depending on accounting methods, but both measures show the company\u2019s profitability remains strong.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Nvidia has maintained its dominance in AI hardware, some analysts have flagged concerns over <\/span>supply constraints<\/span><\/a> and rising competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of the market close on Wednesday, major U.S. stock indexes showed mixed results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The S&P 500 edged up by 0.81 points, or less than 0.1%, breaking a four-day losing streak. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 188.04 points, or 0.4%. <\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite gained 48.88 points or 0.3%.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the after-hours market, futures for the Dow Jones remained mostly unchanged, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures saw slight increases.<\/span><\/p>\n
