Ordinals co-founder Casey Rodarmor noted that Bitcoin\u2019s prestige and Solana\u2019s speed could be the final nail in Ethereum\u2019s coffin.<\/p>\n<h2>Bitcoin and Solana Threaten Ethereum\u2019s Rise<\/h2>\n<p>While Ethereum\u2019s recent decline has left investors in shock, the Ordinals co-founder Casey Rodarmor has proffered a theory for the asset. In a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/rodarmor\/status\/1898774171121049804?s=46\">post<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter), Rodarmor disclosed that the duo of Bitcoin and Solana negatively affects Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>Rodarmor says Bitcoin\u2019s age and first-mover advantage gives it a keen advantage over Ethereum\u2019s claim as \u201cbetter money.\u201d Conversely, Rodarmor says Solana is living up to its reputation as an ETH killer, improving on a range of metrics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEthereum is getting squeezed by Bitcoin and Solana,\u201d said Rodarmor. \u201cEthereum has nowhere to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rodarmor hinged Solana\u2019s speed and scalability to its \u201ccentralization,\u201d sparking a reaction from Solana cofounder Anatoly Yakovenko. Yakovenko downplayed Solana\u2019s decentralization claims while pointing accusing fingers of centralization at Rodarmor.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin has enjoyed a streak of positives including the executive signing of the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coingape.com\/just-in-donald-trump-signs-executive-order-to-establish-strategic-bitcoin-reserve\/\">Strategic Bitcoin Reserve<\/a> while Solana is gearing up for a potential ETF approval.<\/p>\n<h2>ETH Continues To Falter In Troubling Fashion<\/h2>\n<p>Ethereum\u2019s on-chain indicators are painting a sorry picture for the largest altcoin. After falling below $2,000, analysts say the possibility of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coingape.com\/can-ethereum-price-sink-to-1000-after-drop-below-2000\/\">ETH falling to $1,000<\/a> is highly likely.<\/p>\n<p>After losing over 6% over the day, the asset is trading at $2,045, triggering a resistance by investors to buy ETH. However, whales continue to scoop ETH at a discount while institutional interests inch forward.<\/p>\n<p>Sonic Labs co-founder Andre Cronje attempted to rationalize <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coingape.com\/andre-cronje-outlines-reasons-for-ethereums-underperformance-this-cycle\/\">Ethereum\u2019s underperformance<\/a>, citing a boatload of Layer 2 projects dumping the assets. For Cronje, a below-par user experience contributes to waning interest in Ethereum with rising competition from newer blockchains.
