In an X post on the 10th of March, Saylor <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/saylor\/status\/1899068491409260639\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cStrategy announces $21 Billion $STRK At-The-Market program $MSTR.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pioneer in BTC corporate strategy has been aggressively buying <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/bitcoin-news\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through stock issuance and debt (convertible notes). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For stock issuance, the firm leverages its common MSTR and preferred STRK stocks to raise capital for BTC investment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That said, the firm could scoop relatively discounted BTC after a recent retracement if the latest capital raise is achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> As of early March 2025, Strategy had 499,096 BTC, worth $40B at current prices and 2.3% control of total supply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Saylor\u2019s BTC plan elicits mixed reactions<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note, however, that the BTC drawdown in Q1 2025 has slashed Strategy\u2019s unrealized profit by 3x. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the peak of February, when BTC jumped to $109K, Strategy\u2019s unrealized profit almost hit $20B.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At press time, the profit shrunk to $7.2B, but the firm remains bullish for the long run.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_474451\" style=\"width: 2570px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL.png\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-474451\" class=\"size-full wp-image-474451\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL.png\" alt=\"Michael Saylor\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL.png 2560w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-2048x1152.png 2048w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MicroStrategy-uPnL-1200x675.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\"\/><\/noscript><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-474451\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CryptoQuant<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For his part, Peter Schiff downplayed Strategy\u2019s capacity to raise such a massive amount given muted BTC price action. Schiff <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PeterSchiff\/status\/1899176687679549758\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">retorted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI don\u2019t think you will be able to pull this off. Soon $MSTR will be trading at a discount to its Bitcoin holdings. That means selling these shares will produce a negative Bitcoin yield.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, Jesse Myers, co-founder of OnRamp Bitcoin, claimed that STRK stock issuance could offer Strategy an efficient capital raising from the bond market.
