A blog post from crypto payments provider Radom <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/www.radom.com\/blog\/reform-uk-becomes-first-major-european-political-party-to-accept-crypto-donations-via-radom\" title=\"null\">said<\/a> Reform would use the platform to facilitate donations, making it the first major group to do so amid the Conservative and Labour parties, who hold most of the seats in the UK\u2019s House of Commons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[A]s of now, we are the first political party in Britain who can accept donations in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies,\u201d said Farage. \u201cWe\u2019re way behind you in America, but as of now, people with Bitcoin can give us money provided they\u2019re eligible.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Reform UK leader Nigel Farage (right) speaking at Bitcoin 2025. Source: Cointelegraph<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Farage appeared at the Bitcoin conference, discussing his experiences with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/relationship-building-hedge-against-debanking-okx-exec\" title=\"null\">being debanked in the UK<\/a> in 2023 and Reform\u2019s plans to introduce a \u201cCryptoassets and Digital Finance Bill\u201d if the party wins control of government in the next general election in the UK, expected before August 2029. Reform UK controls five seats in the House of Commons after the July 2024 election \u2014 a significant gap between the 403 seats controlled by Labour and 120 seats by the Conservatives.<\/p>\n<h2>Plans for a UK Bitcoin reserve<\/h2>\n<p>Among Farage\u2019s other proposed policies at the event were establishing a Bitcoin (<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\">BTC<\/a>) reserve at the Bank of England and opposing any plans to introduce a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the UK.
