It\u2019s going to be easier to raise money if the asset they\u2019re buying has broken through all-time highs and is ascending upwards.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Ethereum began surging upward once more on Friday, challenging its all-time high after a more <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/336440\/ethereum-bitcoin-jump-powell-hints-interest-rate-cut\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">doveish tone came from Powell<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\">, who signaled a rate cut could be in order. The price of ETH jumped to a new peak of $4,789 on Friday, just barely edging out the coin&#8217;s 2021 price record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Its recent rise has been propelled in part due to the digital asset treasuries Hayes mentioned, notably BitMine Immersion Technologies and SharpLink Gaming\u2013the<\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/335519\/7-largest-publicly-traded-ethereum-treasury-firms\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> two largest ETH treasuries<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> which combine for more than $10 billion worth of ETH. Ethereum ETFs too have contributed, adding <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/334809\/ethereum-etfs-break-daily-record-over-1-billion-investments\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">record breaking inflows<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> throughout July and growing to hold more than 5% of the entire ETH supply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Hayes has been bullish on ETH in recent months, telling <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Decrypt <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight:400\">in May that he saw the <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/322842\/arthur-hayes-ethereum-double-price-this-year\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">second-largest crypto asset rising to $4,000-$5,000<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> before year\u2019s end. He later upped that prediction in July, saying that ETH would <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/331473\/ethereum-hit-10k-tear-market-new-asshole-arthur-hayes\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201ctear the market a new asshole\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> as it ripped to $10,000, once more citing its place as one of the \u201cmost hated assets.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Now, he\u2019s suggesting that Ethereum could rip towards $20,000 by the end of the cycle, or the time at which the bull market ends, in part because of the amount of money the Trump administration is likely to print.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">In other words, Hayes expects the administration to institute major quantitative easing, a monetary policy where new money is created and can be used to purchase financial assets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">\u201cWe have from the middle of 2026 until Trump leaves office for them to go absolutely insane with how much they\u2019re going to print,\u201d Hayes told Neuner. \u201cMy base case is we are going to have a massive bull market in all types of financial assets connected to anything Trump believes is important, between now and when he exits office.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">Hayes previously leaned on his belief that accelerated money printing and an increased money supply are coming to fuel his <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/323135\/money-printing-lift-bitcoin-250k-this-year-arthur-hayes\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">year-end Bitcoin prediction of $250,000<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro scene:font-noto-sans scene:text-base scene:md:text-lg font-normal text-lg md:text-xl md:leading-9 tracking-px text-body gg-dark:text-neutral-100\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/312169\/trump-pardons-arthur-hayes-bitmex-founders\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">now-pardoned BitMex founder<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> is financially aligned with ETH\u2019s success, adding around <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/intel.arkm.com\/explorer\/entity\/arthur-hayes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow external noopener\" class=\"sc-adb616fe-0 bJsyml\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">1.8K ETH worth more than $8.6 million<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight:400\"> since August 10 according to wallet tracking from Arkham Intelligence.
