Bitlayer, trying to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefiant.io\/podcasts-and-videos\/podcast\/unlocking-bitcoin-s-potential-bitlayer-s-vision-for-defi-and-beyond\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">supercharge Bitcoin with BitVM<\/a>, has already cooled off, down over 30%.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Hemi, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefiant.io\/news\/blockchains\/hemi-raises-15-million-bitcoin-ethereum-layer-2-network-4cb0054f\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">which blends Bitcoin security<\/a> with Ethereum-style smart contracts, jumped nearly 28% on its launch, according to data from CoinGecko.<\/p>\n<p>Leveraged positions took a beating as the market reacted to the latest PCE data, with about $543 million liquidated on Friday.
