Institutional asset manager\u00a0ORQO<\/a> has launched its unified digital asset management platform and its global headquarters in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n ORQO is a holding company that includes\u00a0Mount TFI<\/a>, a licensed fund manager in Poland;\u00a0Soil<\/a>, a DeFi yield platform;\u00a0Monterra Capital<\/a>, a multi-strategy digital hedge fund; and\u00a0Nextrope<\/a>, a blockchain and artificial intelligence studio, according to a Tuesday (Sept. 16)\u00a0press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n The holding company\u2019s CEO,\u00a0Nicholas Motz<\/a>, who co-founded and was engaged in each of the underlying entities before the merger, said in the release that ORQO provides \u201ca unified, global investment ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWith over 10 years of experience in digital assets and more than 20 years in traditional finance, along with over\u00a0$1 billion in completed transactions in traditional markets, we are combining institutional discipline with the transformative potential of blockchain,\u201d Motz said. \u201cOur mission is to democratize access to asset management and create lasting value for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n ORQO currently manages over $370 million in combined assets and offers an investment ecosystem that includes regulated private credit, public equities, crypto hedge fund strategies, tokenized real\u00a0estate and DeFi-native yield solutions, according to the release.<\/p>\n The company has licenses in Poland and Malta and is now working to obtain a license with the\u00a0Financial Services Regulatory Authority<\/a> (FSRA) at\u00a0Abu Dhabi Global Market<\/a> (ADGM), the release said.<\/p>\n Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p>\n<\/div>\n With the new license and its new global headquarters in Abu Dhabi, ORQO aims to provide services directly to institutional clients in the UAE and throughout the Middle East, per the release.<\/p>\n In another recent development in this space,\u00a0digital asset management<\/a> firm\u00a0ReserveOne<\/a> said in July that it was going public in a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) merger with\u00a0M3-Brigade Acquisition V Corp.<\/a><\/p>\n ReserveOne said it was inspired by the proposed national cryptocurrency reserve and plans to hold and manage digital assets, such as bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.<\/p>\n On Sept. 8,\u00a0Grayscale<\/a>\u00a0filed with the\u00a0Securities and Exchange Commission<\/a> to rename its\u00a0Grayscale Chainlink Trust<\/a>, which holds LINK digital assets, as Grayscale Chainlink Trust ETF.<\/p>\n
