{"id":405712,"date":"2025-09-20T22:29:33","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T16:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/circle-beats-usdh-to-the-punch-with-usdc-launch-on-hyperevm-crypto-news\/"},"modified":"2025-09-20T22:38:32","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T17:08:32","slug":"circle-beats-usdh-to-the-punch-with-usdc-launch-on-hyperevm-crypto-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dripp.zone\/news\/circle-beats-usdh-to-the-punch-with-usdc-launch-on-hyperevm-crypto-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Circle Beats USDH to the Punch with USDC Launch on HyperEVM &#8211; Crypto News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>The issuer of the second-largest stablecoin began accumulating HYPE shortly after the USDH vote.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Circle, the issuer of USDC, the second-largest stablecoin in DeFi, has stepped into the HyperEVM arena by launching native USDC on Hyperliquid\u2019s Layer 1 blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>Circle <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/circle\/status\/1967928959947116873\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">announced<\/a> the integration on Sept. 16, less than a week after onchain analyst MLM <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mlmabc\/status\/1966488742094319884\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">noted<\/a> that a Circle-linked wallet purchased $4.6 million worth of HYPE while testing USDC on the HyperEVM.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes shortly after the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefiant.io\/news\/defi\/dragonfly-suggests-hyperliquid-stablecoin-competition-is-rigged\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">controversial USDH stablecoin governance vote<\/a>, which gave the Native Markets team the rights to acquire the USDH ticker with the goal of launching the Hyperliquid ecosystem\u2019s dominant native stablecoin.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s presumed that USDH is intended to be the primary stablecoin liquidity on the HyperEVM, Circle appears to be capitalizing on its first-mover position to capture market share prior to USDH\u2019s launch, as most existing stablecoins on the network, such as feUSD or USDT0, are relatively illiquid.<\/p>\n<p>Circle announced that its next activation in the ecosystem will enable direct connectivity between the HyperCore DEX and HyperEVM, letting users seamlessly bridge their perpetual and spot balances onto the EVM and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking with teams and projects that are pushing the limits of what can be done onchain has been foundational to what we do\u2026and what we\u2019ve always tried to do is provide a great, safe, trusted, transparent, and most importantly, highly liquid digital dollar,\u201d said Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire on a recent podcast.<\/p>\n<p>Following the activation, HYPE surged to another all-time high, reaching $59, or a $15 billion market capitalization, after falling as low as $9.5 in April amid the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thedefiant.io\/news\/defi\/hyperliquid-token-tanks-as-another-vault-attack-sparks-controversy\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">HLP vault exploit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption class=\"text-center text-xs\">HYPE Chart &#8211; CoinGecko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In addition to its domination of the perpetual derivatives sector, Hyperliquid\u2019s HyperEVM is now the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chains\" target=\"__blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer \">eighth largest blockchain<\/a> in DeFi with $2.66 billion in total value locked (TVL).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The issuer of the second-largest stablecoin began accumulating HYPE shortly after the USDH vote.
