Road and rebranded it as Ripple Prime, marking one of the company\u2019s most significant deals to date and substantially expanding its operations beyond the digital assets sector.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple said it is now the first crypto company to own and run a multi-asset prime broker, covering everything from clearing, financing, and brokerage across digital assets, derivatives, swaps, foreign exchange, and fixed-income products for institutional clients.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple Prime\u2019s business activity has already grown threefold since the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ripple-acquires-crypto-friendly-prime-broker-hidden-road-for-1-3-b?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">$1.25 billion acquisition <\/a>was announced in early April, Ripple <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/insights\/ripple-closes-hidden-road-acquisition\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> on Friday, adding that more growth from new and existing customers is expected.<\/p>\n<figure><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Source: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/crypto-traditional-finance-tradfi-regulation?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">bridging TradFi <\/a>into the digital asset space by integrating blockchain and crypto products for banks to conduct <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ripple-launches-cross-border-blockchain-payments-uae?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">cross-border transactions<\/a> and other financial operations.<\/p>\n<h2>Ripple wants to put its new business on blockchain rails<\/h2>\n<p>Ripple, the issuer behind the XRP (XRP) cryptocurrency, said its new business will \u201csignificantly enhance the utility and reach\u201d of its Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin,\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cRipple\u2019s foundational digital asset infrastructure across payments, crypto custody and stablecoin, as well as the use of XRP, will complement the services offered within Ripple Prime.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the future, Ripple also plans to integrate blockchain capabilities into Ripple Prime to streamline operations and optimize costs.<\/p>\n<p><template data-ct-widget=\"buzzsprout\" data-buzzsprout-podcast-id=\"2040516\" data-buzzsprout-episode-id=\"17793750\"\/><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ripple-rlusd-stablecoin-launch-2024?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">RLUSD is expected<\/a> to play a key role in that transition, with Ripple noting that certain derivatives customers are already opting to hold their balances in the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/learn\/articles\/stablecoins-101-what-are-crypto-stablecoins-and-how-do-they-work?utm_source=chatgpt.com\">US dollar stablecoin<\/a> and that it is also used as collateral for several prime brokerage products.<\/p>\n<h2>Ripple is on an acquisition spree <\/h2>\n<p>It comes as Ripple has also acquired treasury management system provider GTreasury last Thursday
