Canton pitches itself as a \u201cnetwork of networks\u201d with configurable privacy and compliance controls, explicitly aimed at regulated markets rather than retail DeFi experimentation.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n<p>Global asset manager <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/franklin-templeton-benji-tokenization-canton-network\" rel=\"\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/franklin-templeton-benji-tokenization-canton-network\">Franklin Templeton is already building on these rails<\/a>. In October, the $1.6 trillion asset manager said it would move its Benji Investments platform, which tokenizes shares of its flagship US money market fund, onto Canton Network, extending a live tokenized-fund product that previously ran on public chains into Canton\u2019s institutional ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other networks, Canton <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/behind-canton-network-tokenomics\" rel=\"\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/behind-canton-network-tokenomics\">avoided the ICO route<\/a>. This week, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/vanguard-to-allow-clients-trade-crypto-etfs\" rel=\"\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/vanguard-to-allow-clients-trade-crypto-etfs\">Vanguard, the second-largest asset manager<\/a> in the world, announced that it would finally allow its clients to start trading crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and mutual funds on its platform, reversing its prior anti-Bitcoin stance.<\/p>\n<p>Bank of America, the second-largest US bank, also <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bank-of-america-4-crypto-allocation-bitcoin-etfs\" rel=\"\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/bank-of-america-4-crypto-allocation-bitcoin-etfs\">revised its policy on crypto<\/a>, reportedly recommending a 1%\u20134% allocation to its wealth management clients. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/major-banks-stablecoin-trading-coinbase-armstrong-says\" rel=\"\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/major-banks-stablecoin-trading-coinbase-armstrong-says\">Coinbase is deepening work with major US banks<\/a> on stablecoin, custody and settlement pilots, positioning itself as plumbing for institutions that don\u2019t want to build everything in\u2011house. <\/p>\n<p>Against this backdrop, a single stack that now counts banks, an exchange operator, a data and index giant and a wealth\u2011tech company as investors is a strong indicator of where the industry expects long\u2011term onchain market infrastructure to live.
