Following a year of market hype and IPO speculation, 2026 begins with a surprise as Ripple has announced no plans to pursue a Wall Street debut.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview<\/a> with Bloomberg, Ripple President Monica Long shared the firm\u2019s 2026 plans. <\/span><\/p>\n She highlighted that even with a $40 billion valuation and major backers like Citadel Securities and Fortress, Ripple still has no timeline for going public.<\/span><\/p>\n Long noted,<\/p>\n \u201cCurrently, we still plan to remain private.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n For most tech giants, an IPO is the finish line, but for this one<\/span>, it\u2019s currently an unnecessary distraction. <\/span><\/p>\n This new enthusiasm might be fueled by a $500 million share sale and a relentless spree of strategic acquisitions.<\/span><\/p>\n Long further added,<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOften, the strategy driving an IPO is to get access to the investors and the liquidity of the public markets. We\u2019re in a really healthy position to continue to fund and invest in our company\u2019s growth without going public.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Ripple\u2019s refusal to go public is backed by a massive $4 billion investment into its infrastructure.<\/p>\n By folding<\/a> in Hidden Road (rebranded as Ripple Prime) for prime brokerage, GTreasury<\/a> for corporate money management, and much more, the company has effectively built a closed-loop system for digital assets.<\/p>\n As of late 2025, Ripple Payments has processed an astronomical $95 billion in total volume.<\/p>\n Additionally, at the heart lies RLUSD, Ripple\u2019s dollar stablecoin, which surpassed $1 billion in market capitalization within just seven months of launch.<\/p>\n All these combined successes have already made it difficult for Wall Street to ignore Ripple, IPO or not.<\/p>\n That being said, Ripple\u2019s choice to avoid an IPO may look like a retreat, but its fundraising demonstrates strong confidence and strategic control.<\/p>\n\n
