Financial services and banking firm <\/span>State Street<\/span><\/a> has introduced an infrastructure platform for tokenized assets.<\/span><\/p>\n The company <\/span>says<\/span> the platform<\/span>, <\/span>announced<\/span><\/a> Thursday (Jan. 15)<\/span>, <\/span>is designed to help State Street serve as a bridge between digital and traditional finance.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are moving beyond experimentation and into practical, scalable solutions that meet the highest standards of security and compliance,\u201d <\/span>Joerg Ambrosius<\/span><\/a>, president of <\/span>investment<\/span> Services at State Street, said in a news release.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cBy pairing blockchain connectivity with robust controls and global servicing expertise, we\u2019re enabling institutions to confidently embrace tokenization as part of their core strategy with an organization like us that they can trust.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The release said the platform is key to promoting State Street\u2019s digital ambitions in developing client products such as tokenized money market funds, <\/span>exchange traded<\/span> funds, and cash products <\/span>including<\/span> tokenized deposits and stablecoins.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The company added that the platform includes wallet management, custodial and cash capabilities, aimed at boosting tokenized product development across private and public <\/span>permissioned blockchain networks<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Advertisement: Scroll to Continue<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cUnderpinned by enhanced security and operational and on-chain compliance controls, integrated with existing systems, the platform supports secure, scalable access for institutional clients offering a seamless interface between digital and traditional services,\u201d State Street said.<\/span><\/p>\n Tokenized deposits are becoming part of the mainstream financial world.<\/span><\/p>\n For example, <\/span>Citi<\/span><\/a> has integrated <\/span>Citi Token Services<\/span><\/a> with 24\/7 USD Clearing, which <\/span>lets\u00a0 institutional<\/span> clients move tokenized deposits across jurisdictions in near-real time without needing to leave established account, compliance <\/span>and<\/span> settlement frameworks.<\/span><\/p>\n HSBC<\/span><\/a> has rolled out a Tokenized Deposit Service that lets corporates convert deposits into tokens that move instantly between wallets while remaining within existing treasury workflows.<\/span><\/p>\n And <\/span>J.P. Morgan\u2019s Kinexys<\/span><\/a> platform has gone a step further, testing a dollar-denominated deposit token operating on <\/span>blockchain rails<\/span><\/a>, upheld by the bank\u2019s balance sheet and governed by standard know-your-customer and risk controls.<\/span><\/p>\n
